Common Questions & Answers

At Results Tree and Landscape Inc., we believe that an informed homeowner makes the best decisions for their property. Over our 30 years of service, we have fielded many questions regarding tree health, landscape design, and maintenance schedules. To assist you, we have compiled a list of the most frequent inquiries we receive. Whether you are curious about our safety protocols, project timelines, or the best time of year to plant, we hope this resource helps guide you. If you don’t see your specific question listed below, please do not hesitate to contact us directly.

Are you licensed and insured?

Absolutely. Tree care and landscaping can involve heavy machinery and risk. For your protection and peace of mind, Results Tree and Landscape Inc. carries full liability insurance and workers’ compensation.

What areas do you serve?

We are based in Magnolia, Texas, and proudly serve the surrounding communities, including The Woodlands, Spring, Conroe, New Waverly, Huntsville and Tomball. We also frequently travel outside of this area. We’d love to help with your project!

When is the best time to trim my trees?

While dead or hazardous limbs should be removed immediately, routine pruning is often best done during the dormant season (late winter). However, this depends on the species of the tree. Our arborists can recommend the best schedule for your specific trees.

Do you offer financing for large landscape projects?

We understand that a landscape overhaul is a significant investment. Please ask our team during your consultation about current payment options or project phasing strategies to fit your budget.

How can I tell if a tree needs to be removed rather than just trimmed?

Look for signs of significant decay, such as large cavities in the trunk, fungal growth at the base, or “deadwood” (branches with no leaves). If more than 50% of the tree is damaged or it is leaning dangerously toward a structure, removal is usually the safest option. We can provide a professional assessment to help you decide.

What is included in your stump grinding service?

Our stump grinding process involves using specialized machinery to grind the stump down 4-8 inches below ground level. This allows you to plant grass or small shrubs over the area. As a standard practice, we leave the wood mulch in the hole to settle, but we can also haul it away for an additional fee.

Do I need a permit to remove a tree on my property?

Permit requirements vary by city and county. Some municipalities require a permit for trees of a certain size or species. During our initial estimate, we can help you determine if a permit is necessary for your specific location and guide you through the application process.

What happens to the wood and debris after a tree is cut down?

We take pride in leaving your property cleaner than we found it. Our standard service includes chipping all small branches, cutting logs into manageable pieces, and thoroughly raking the work area. We can haul everything away or leave the wood chips/logs behind for your personal use if requested.

Can you help with drainage issues in my yard?

Yes! Proper drainage is a core part of a healthy landscape. We offer solutions such as French drains, dry creek beds, and regrading to divert water away from your home’s foundation and prevent “swampy” spots in your lawn.

Do I need to be home while you are working?

No, you do not need to be home as long as our crew has access to the work area and any locked gates are opened. We will confirm all project details during the estimate so you can go about your day with peace of mind.

Do you offer emergency storm damage services?

Yes. If a storm causes a tree to fall on your home or block your driveway, we prioritize emergency calls to secure your property and remove hazards as quickly and safely as possible.
